Photo Reference Guide

Good reference photos are the key to great results. Follow these tips:

1. Clear Front View

Use front-facing or slightly angled photos with the full face visible. Avoid sunglasses, masks, or hats. Eyes should be clearly visible.

2. Even Lighting

Choose photos with natural, even lighting. Avoid strong backlight (window or sun behind) or dim conditions. Even lighting helps AI extract facial features accurately.

3. Natural Expression

A natural smile or neutral expression works best. Avoid exaggerated expressions. Turn off beauty filters and heavy retouching — original photos help AI recognize faces better.

4. One Photo Per Person

Choose the clearest front-facing reference for each person. Each file should show its intended person clearly; do not upload a collage or group photo.

5. Resolution & Size

Recommended resolution: 512×512 or above, max 10MB per file. Original phone camera photos usually work well. Avoid images heavily compressed by messaging apps like WhatsApp or WeChat.
